Alberta Traffic Safety Fund (ATSF)

Alberta Traffic Safety Fund grants are available to Alberta communities for traffic safety initiatives.  The purpose of the fund is to stimulate and support local collaborative action that enhances traffic safety awareness and reduces the frequency and severity of motor vehicle related injuries within Alberta communities.The purpose of the fund is to stimulate and support local collaborative action that enhances traffic safety awareness and reduces the frequency and severity of motor vehicle related injuries within Alberta communities.

Two levels of grants are available:

  • Larger Grants (>$5,000−$17,000) and;
  • Smaller Grants (≤$5,000).  Note: Smaller grants are accepted and reviewed throughout the year on an ongoing first come, first served basis.

 

A consultation with the Grant Program Coordinator prior to the submission of a larger or smaller grant application is required.  This consultation will determine the sponsoring organization and project’s eligibility and whether the project conforms to the fund guidelines.
